PBL South Asia
PBL South Asia develops best practices in problem-based education as a joint initiative between ten universities that are located in Finland, India, Nepal, Bhutan, the Netherlands and Lithuania. Project aims to contribute to local innovation ecosystems, integrate themes of sustainable development, social responsibility and human rights into educational practice through problem based learning.
We are looking for student participants to work on the challenge developed by Nepalese and Bhutanese colleagues. Students from civil engineering and architecture study programmes can apply (Master students, bachelor and integrated programme students of 3rd year or higher).
The workshop and field visits will be organized in spring 2020, approx. April-May. However, students are expected to start their work on the challenge in advance, and finalize the concept after the field visits. The costs of travel, accommodation and daily expenses will be covered for all participants. If selected, students are expected to cover extra costs for visas, insurance, etc.
A minimum duration of the visit to Nepal and Bhutan should be 14 days. The whole trip can take up to 16 days depending on travel arrangements.
The course will not provide ECTS credits, however, the certificate of participation will be provided.
