Innovative and environmentally friendly ecosystem for optimal building energy efficiency, based on advanced materials research. ECO?BUILD

Project no.: 10-093-K-0101

Project description:

To create an innovative and environmentally friendly ecosystem aimed at achieving optimal building energy efficiency, based on advanced construction material research, with the goal of reducing energy consumption, lowering CO2 emissions, and promoting the adoption of sustainable technologies.
Next?generation construction material research opens new opportunities for developing a sustainable, energy?efficient, and environmentally friendly construction sector in Lithuania.
The emerging research infrastructure enables:

Assessment of material purity – identifying unwanted impurities and defects.
Quantitative evaluation of chemical compound composition – accurately identifying phases and components.
Analysis of the amorphous?to?crystalline ratio – understanding structural changes and their impact on material properties.
Microstructural characterization – evaluating crystallite size, internal stresses, defects, and other parameters.

Project funding:

Funded under The Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania.

Project results:

Benefits: these analyses make it possible to accurately predict material behaviour, provide evidence?based recommendations for manufacturers, reduce production risks, and support the development of a new generation of environmentally friendly construction materials.
