Biophilic design: between nature and technology

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-25-0115

Project description:

Biophilic design is a synthesis between nature and technology. In the construction sector, as the needs of customers grow intensively, so do production, consumption and environmental impacts, making sustainable solutions such as the integration of biophilic design principles increasingly necessary. The aim of the project is to present the proposed 3D model of the biophilic architectural form after reviewing the scientific literature on biophilic design, analyzing practical examples of biophilic design and criteria systems used to create and evaluate biophilic building projects.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

Expected results of the project: review and analysis of research on the impact of biophilic design on environmental quality and human well-being; analysis of biophilic design examples; analysis of criteria systems used for the development and evaluation of biophilic design projects; creation of a 3D model of a biophilic architectural form.
